Groupe Boda Lachute Golf Club Listed in Beyond The Contour's Top 100 golf courses in Canada

The Thompson Course at Groupe Boda's Lachute Golf Club stood out from more than 2,300 golf courses in Canada and was selected to be part of the top 100 golf courses as voted by the panelists at “Beyond The Contour.com”. At the same time, Lachute is also ranked in the TOP 9 golf courses in the province of Quebec. The Lachute Golf Club is conveniently located in the center of the city of Lachute, and is within walking distance to shopping centers and restaurants. It is situated perfectly between Montreal and Ottawa, only a 45-minute drive to either city.

Founded in 1923 by Gilbert E. Ayers, the Lachute Golf Club, with its two famous 18-hole golf courses, is recognized across Canada as a leading club that is rich in history. The Thompson Course was completed in 1949 by renowned golf course architect Stanley Thompson. The other course was designed by Stanley Thompson’s protégé and Lachute local, Howard Watson. The Watson Course opened in 1961 exclusively to club members at that time. Deceased in 1992, Watson was inducted into the Québec Golf Hall of Fame in 2021 as an industry builder.
